proper weaponry usage

Most people favor paticular guns in a paticular set up. This thread will help you become a better player by combining weapons attachments with perks depending on match type and weapon class.

TDM:
team death match is an all around normal match that combines teamwork and smart shooting. the most widely used weapons in this match type in decresing order are smgs,mgs,bolt actions, rifles, and shotguns.
now...... depending on how well you can place a shot in a static or moving target. you should know what type of weapon you are used to. Now. we'll start with the most widely used weapon on Call of Duty: World at war. the nazi regimes Mp-40.

mp-40:
the good:
· the mp-40 is a very powerful weapon.
· it has a fairly good reloading time.
· has a large ammo supply

the bad:
· slow rate of fire
· highly inaccurate

to overcome this problem you must think of how you play COD.If you run all over the map killing everyone (run'n'gun) or if you stay in a specific part of the map.(camping).
For those run'n'gunners yiu must have a set-up that fits your and your teamates type of killing.

Solo run'n'gunner:
if you are the only person running around you should have a lot of ammo ready because you may run into enemy respawning spots or the entire enemy itself.
for this you need bandolier.(increased ammunition ) (also the mp-40 is the most used weapon so you can pick up even more ammo)
if you can shoot well but not great use the double tap perk to get anyone out of your way (double tap allows you too shoot faster) but if you can aim put something a bit more on their like stopping power (stopping power: increased bullet damage)and lastly use extreme conditioning.

if you camp with the Mp-40 on team death match you should be invisible to your enemy.
put a supressor on your mp-40 so you don't show up on the radar when shooting. for perk number 1 use bandolier or primary grenades [x2] (you may need them)
for perk nunber 2 use camoflauge, cause even if you don't die your teamates do and then the enemy calls in recon planes.
for perk number 3 use second chance cause you can't still be revived by a teamate if a sniper catches you camping and can't get the coup'de'grace

If you are accurate with the thompson w/ apeture sight (2 out of 3 shots) then I suggest you use double tap but use you bullets sparingly and one pull the tigger in 1/2 bursts cause your gun will startgoing up due to recoil. stopping power on the thompson w/ apeture sight is good for staying at a distance but isn`t very good up close. I'd go with stopping power and bandolier. because the thompson has a faster firing rate than the mp-40. and is less powerful than the other two main submachine guns.

Mp40 takes more than just attachments and perks.

It takes skill to use it.

It is also known as the cheapest/most over used gun in the game!

& honestly.. nobody can say what proper weapon use is. Everyone has a different opinion on it & therefore can never be fully proper. Unless you want to spread out possible perks for EVERY gun.. well lets just say continue in these threads. ^^^^ Plz&thanku

Thank goodness someone other than me realizes that the threads now a days are being spammed like none other..

Its all about gun style and perk selection by the people who play.

Thats 1 thing i love about cod and thats 1 of the reasons i still play it.

I get to choose what gun and perks I want to use.

No one tells me what i should or shouldnt use.

Jburg, I think he was just trying to give an example of what exactly this thread will do. He asked you at the bottom to post whatever gun you needed help with, and he would whip up a guide similar to that MP40 one.

Now, this being said, I'm not entirely sure whether this would be allowed or not, because, to me, it seems a bit like a Sage thread. I know in The Conduit section they were allowing a few, but not many, not sure about the CoD Section.

Let's wait for a mod's opinion, shall we?
